Avocado is all the rage lately, so here’s a good, simple recipe for delicious avocado hummus!
Avocado Hummus Ingredients:
BASIC INGREDIENTS:
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 (15-ounce) can of garbanzo beans
- 1 lemon or lime, for zest and juice
- 2 tablespoon tahini
- 2 avocados
- Salt
- Olive Oil
- Paprika
OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS:
- Paprika
- Ground Black Pepper
- Ginger
Avocado Hummus Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients but avocados in a food processor
Place garlic cloves, garbanzo beans, lemon or lime zest, and juice from the lemon and tahini in a food processor. For a more daring palette, you can also add a few slices of ginger! Blend until smooth. Salt to taste.
- Add two avocados
Add two avocados and blend just until smooth. Salt to taste once more. Transfer to a bowl.
- Add olive oil and garnish
Pour a few tablespoons of olive oil on top, and sprinkle a few dashes of paprika and black pepper.
- Enjoy!
Serve with your favorite vegetables, crackers, flatbreads or chips and dig in!
