Using activities that stimulate creativity, encourage appreciation of our beautiful world, and cultivate empathy, we hope to inspire meaningful learning and collective creation as a family.

Meet Amanda

OWNER AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR

With a passion for cultivating imagination, Amanda aims to help kids and families discover their creative potential through art, play, adventure, activism, conservancy, and community.

The daughter of an elementary school principal/teacher and a Clinical Psychologist, Amanda was raised to passionately value service to children and families. Her background in graphic design, environmental design, and art curation has given her a unique perspective on learning and teaching, as well as the invaluable tools and perspective used to design her own activities and printables here for barley & birch.

When not playing with ideas and designs for barley & birch, she enjoys working on freelance design, art, and illustration projects of all kinds.
