St. Patrick’s Day Smoothie Ingredients:

Serves 2 (or 3- 4 very tiny people)

BASIC INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups of spinach
  • 1 cup of frozen pineapple
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 cup of unsweetened coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup of vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup of ice

OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS:

  • A scoop (3 tablespoons) of vanilla protein powder
  • A handful of sprinkles… because, sprinkles!

For an extra special St. Patrick’s Day surprise, you can start by covering the bottom of your glasses with a layer of rainbow sprinkles because this little trick NEVER fails to impress.

When you’re ready to blend, pour the coconut milk, yogurt, and ice into the blender first, then add the rest of the ingredients in layers. Mix until smooth, pour into glasses, top with a sprinkle of sprinkles (maybe even some whipped cream…), and prepare for accolades!

10 Ways Kids Can Help Make This Festive Green Smoothie

  1. Picking out fresh fruits and vegetables: Invite kids to help pick out fresh produce while shopping for the ingredients.
  2. Washing the fruits and vegetables: Kids can help by washing the kale and spinach leaves, as well as the kiwi, banana, and pineapple.
  3. Measuring the ingredients: – Kids can measure out the ingredients such as the kale, pineapple, spinach, and coconut milk.
  4. Blending the ingredients: Kids can help by adding the ingredients to the blender and pressing the buttons to blend everything together.
  5. Decorating the glasses: Kids can help decorate the glasses with a rim of rainbow sprinkles, festive green and white garnishes, stickers, or temporary tattoos.
